Seashore Recycling and Sustainability Centre recycles and re-uses plastics by following an elaborate process of sorting, cleaning, shredding, melting and molding them into new products. We aim to ensure that recycled plastics are re-used as many times as possible.
We recycle waste paper and turn it into new products; the new paper products lock the carbon for a longer time .We have teamed with third party companies for recycling paper which saves waste paper from accumulating in people’s homes for long and promotes reusability
Metals can be recycled repeatedly without compromising their properties. Seashore Recycling and Sustainability Centre recycles metal products are sorted and segregated to be processed for Billets. The Billet materials are then further processed into beams, angle bars, steel bars and steel pipes.
We collect used cooking oil and recycle it in our oil factories (UCORe) and turn them into biofuel and glycerol. The reprocessing of used cooking oil is the first of its kind activity in the history of Qatar and has made it possible to produce biofuel and glycerol that is ‘Made In Qatar’.
Batteries contain toxins, heavy metals and chemicals and disposing of them like regular trash might cause soil and water pollution. Therefore we recycle them to decrease the amount of municipal solid waste and pollution.
E-waste or electronic waste are electronic items that have met their end after a useful life. At Seashore Recycling and Sustainability, we recycle, reuse and reprocess electronic equipment that is no longer needed.
